Martin Fothergill is a Partner & Co-founder of 8F Asset Management and Board Director of Pure Salmon. 8F is a private equity investment manager dedicated to managing funds investing solely in socially and environmentally responsible land-based salmon farming. For this purpose, 8F has created Pure Salmon, the global operating company and brand name for its salmon farms. Prior to joining 8F in 2017, Martin spent 25 years in asset management and investment banking, including 18 years at Deutsche Bank where he was most recently the Global Head of Multi Asset Products.

Erik Heim is President of Nordic Aquafarms Inc in the US, and founder of Nordic Aquafarms in Norway. Nordic Aquafarms is a pure-play land-based seafood company with operations in Norway, Denmark and the US. Previous positions include CEO of Nordic Aquafarms in Norway, chairman of Fredrikstad Seafoods, and chairman of Sashimi Royal. Today, the subsidiary Fredrikstad Seafoods, if the first large-scale grow-out facility for salmon in Norway. Sashimi Royal is selling Yellowtail Kingfish across Europe. Mr. Heim is currently heading up the company´s expansion in the US, with large RAS projects in progress in Maine and California.

Lucy Holmes is the Senior Programme Manager within the Commodity Finance team for WWF-US based in London. Lucy focuses on the seafood sector within the Sustainable Blue Economy context and her work includes understanding financial flows and incentives, sustainable financing mechanisms and developing business cases for the transition to sustainability. Prior to joining WWF, Lucy managed the Marine Programme at the Prince of Wales's International Sustainability Unit (ISU) with a focus on sustainable Blue Economy and sustainable finance.

Kristin has been with DNB since 1984 and after 6 years as Head of DNB Americas, she became Global Head of DNBs Shipping, Offshore & Logistics Division in 2013. DNB is one of the worlds leading Shipping, Offshore and Logistics financial institution with clients in all major segments globally, and presence in the important maritime hubs (Oslo, Bergen, London, Athens, New York and Singapore). From 1.9.2017 Kristin she was appointed Global Head of Ocean Industries Division in DNB. This new division includes Shipping, offshore, logistics, oil & gas, oilfield services and seafood, all important industries for DNB. Prior to becoming head of DNB’s Shipping, Offshore & Logistics Division, her responsibilities as head of DNB Americas included responsibilities for the Banks branches in New York and Santiago de Chile as well as Representative offices in Houston and Rio de Janeiro. Kristin has also held various management positions in DNB’s Shipping and Offshore & Logistics in Oslo, Norway and in London, UK. Kristin was examined from the Norwegian Business School (BI) in 1984.

Mr. Høstlund has been the Chief Executive Officer of Norway Royal Salmon AS since 2014. Mr. Høstlund served as Regional Director of Marine Harvest Norway Northern Region. He joined Norway Royal Salmon in September 2014. Mr. Høstlund has a Master’s degree in Fish Health from the Norwegian College of Fishery Science and an MBA in Financial Control and Management from the Norwegian School of Economics.

Mr. Jakobsen has been Chief Financial Officer of Bakkafrost since 2019. Mr. Jakobsen has extensive experience with business transformation from his previous employments in the management consulting sector, working for PA Consulting Group and as Senior Partner in Quorum Consulting. Mr. Jakobsen has a Master of Science & Business Administration and Computer Science from Copenhagen Business School and has studied Business Design at Henley Business School.

Mr. Kvame became CEO of Grieg Seafood in June 2015. He previously served as CEO of Scanbio Marine Group AS. Mr. Kvame has a 17 year long professional background from Marine Harvest Group where he participated in the top management team for many years, with responsibilities for sales, logistics, processing and integration. He has worked with change management and improvements in an international capacity in the aquaculture industry spanning many companies, including the integration of Stolt Seafarms, Panfish, Fjord Seafood and Marine Harvest Group. He has an educational background in agriculture and aquaculture management.

Ole-Eirik Lerøy, Chairman Mowi ASA. Mr Lerøy has broad experience from the seafood industry. His previous positions include CEO in Lerøy Seafood Group ASA 1991-2008, Chairman of the Norwegian Seafood Federation (FHL), Chairman of the board of the Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC) and Vice Chair of the DNB Supervisory Board. He holds a degree from the Norwegian School of Management.

In his former position as VP Business Development at the Merhav Group, Mr. Maiman has had the opportunity to evaluate, develop, and manage multiple operations in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Water treatment and Agricultural industries, and that was where he first encountered the land based aquaculture sector. Impressed by the potential of the nascent field, Mr. Maiman left his former position and dedicated himself to study the opportunity in depth, culminating in the founding and launch of Kingfish Zeeland in 2015. Graduated from Columbia University in 2003.

Ms Midttveit is a food technologist and she got her education from NTNU in Trondheim. She started to work in Lerøy in 1986 right after graduation and has been working there since. She has had a lot of different positions in Lerøy within - Purchasing - Selling - Project management - Quality - Sustainability.

Sigve has been with Aker BioMarine since 2007. He is responsible for the sales, marketing and R&D for krill products for the animal and aquaculture markets globally. Prior to joining the company, Sigve worked at BioMar and the Norwegian Ministry of Fisheries. Sigve has a Master’s degree from the Norwegian School of Life Sciences and a PhD from the Norwegian Veterinary College.
 
Karl Øystein Øyehaug

Karl Øystein Øyehaug is the Finance Director in Atlantic Sapphire. Before joining Sapphire in October 2018, he worked as an equity analyst at Carnegie in Oslo, Norway, covering the fish farming sector on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Mr. Øyehaug is a Norwegian citizen and has a degree in business and economics from the Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen, Norway.

Malcolm has over 30 years’ experience in international agribusiness through his roles within the Hillsdown Holdings / HMTF group, operating in animal breeding, poultry, feed milling and veterinary services. During this time, Malcolm gained extensive experience in breeding and genetics, sales and strategic M&A, and held board positions within the Group. In 2000, Malcolm founded Benchmark, along with Roland Bonney and Ruth Layton, and has since led the Company’s growth and diversification. Malcolm has a degree in Zoology / Applied Zoology from the University of Wales (Bangor).

Raj Rao has been recently appointed General Manager, IBM Food TrustTM, the world’s only enterprise-class blockchain platform that is solely focused on enhancing the efficiency, safety and transparency of the global food supply chain. In this role, Raj leads the platform and business expansion of IBM Food TrustTM with ecosystem plays involving the world leading retailers, consumer goods companies, food suppliers and growers through shared, permissioned and secure blockchain data networks that are fueled by AI and cognitive applications. Some of the key partners of IBM Food TrustTM include Walmart, Carrefour, Krogers, Golden State Foods, Dole, Driscoll and Tyson. Raj previously was the CEO of Ford Mobility, leading the automotive giant’s burgeoning Palo Alto based mobility business investments, ride sharing operations, public transit partnerships and Greenfield Labs, a start-up garage in collaboration with IDEO. In other roles, Raj was the Chief Digital Officer of 3M leading the company’s digital transformation programs, eCommerce partnerships and digital ventures through its Silicon Valley accelerator. A native of India, Raj earned an honors degree in economics from the University of Delhi, and then completed graduate studies from Boston University’s Business School earning a Master’s Degree in Management. He started his career in Procter & Gamble’s marketing organization in Geneva, Switzerland, and has since lived and worked in Europe, Asia and North America. He has a passion for the power of personal transformation, mentorship and employee empowerment, and speaks widely about the challenges and lessons learned from broad and deep digital transformation efforts. Raj currently sits on the board of NY-based Turtle & Hughes, and also served on the board of 3M Foundation until 2016. He and his wife live in Los Gatos with their two high school sons who are both competitive tennis and basketball players aspiring to play collegiate sports in California.

After working in management consultancy and financial services, Jamie established Fonte Capital to support clients who have exceptional engineering expertise, scientific knowledge, or operating know-how. Jamie has worked closely with a number of such groups, investing personally in their businesses, and helping them to establish relationships with larger investors and commercial partners. Jamie co-founded Devonian in 2017 with the aim of catalysing land-based aquaculture as a hugely exciting subsector of the aquaculture industry. The Devonian team have focused to date on early stage businesses in North America and Europe, and have invested its own capital into two such businesses. We have subsequently introduced additional investors into one of these businesses and are aiming to raise capital for the other company during the last few months of 2019.

Mr. Tyssøy has over 30 years of experience from the investment industry I Norway. He worked at DnB as a stock broker until 1995 and then for 5 years in Vesta/Skandia Insurance as portfolio manager/CIO. He was one of the founders at Holberg Forvaltning in year 2000 , which is an independent asset manager. Have since 2012, together with colleague Jann Molnes worked on mapping the global listed seafood industry and markets. In February 2015 we launched Holberg Triton, a global mutual fund which do invest in listed seafood and seafood related companies.
