Torunn Knoph Halhjem

Trident Seafoods
Torunn Halhjem grew up in Northern Norway, above the Arctic Circle and spent her early adult life working on Norwegian and Russian factory trawlers. After completing her studies in International Business & Economics she worked as an intern in Europe, the United States, Japan and Russia, putting her multiple languages to use. She joined Trident Seafoods in 2000 and is today a senior director and key decision-maker at the US giant, managing production and global sales for more than 500,000 metric tons of wild-caught whitefish.
 
Jacqueline Claudia

Love The Wild
Jacqueline Claudia, CEO and Co-Founder of Love The Wild, is a lifelong fish nerd who thought she was going to be a marine biologist when she grew up. Instead, after graduating from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the Darden School of the University of Virginia, she spent 15 years working in corporate strategy and innovation before finding her way back to the fish. She fell in love with the potential for sustainable aquaculture while working on Velella Project. She founded Love The Wild to de-demonize great farmed fish, make it easier for people to cook great fish at home, and is passionately building a company that has a real shot at saving the world. Fish 2.0 award winner. Intrafish 40 under 40.
 
Mikel Durham

Mikel Durham joined American Seafoods in January of last year, bringing extensive experience in the foodservice and consumer products sector, with executive roles at PepsiCo, Burger King, Cadbury Schweppes, Yum! brands and other major food groups.
 
Analise Gonzales

Analise Gonzales, was born and raised in Seattle, WA. She attended Azusa Pacific University where she completed her MBA; along with her Bachelor of Arts in Business, and Interpersonal and Organizational Communications. One of her most memorable college summers was a spent in Bristol Bay processing Salmon. She went on to work in sales and developmental roles at Allergan Pharmaceuticals. She officially joined the Trident family in April 2018; focusing on supporting their training needs, as well as growing their nutritionals department.
 
Michael Kohan
Seafood Technical Director
Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute
Michael Kohan was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. After living abroad as a Peace Corp volunteer in Cambodia, she returned to Alaska to earn her master’s degree in fisheries studying environmental variability and salmon energetics. In between, she spent summers working as a researcher on NOAA research vessels and a deckhand on commercial trollers in Alaska capitalizing on valuable learning opportunities in the science-based management of Alaska’s fisheries and Alaska seafood quality practices. She was hired as the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI) Seafood Technical Director in 2015, advising and providing resources for ASMI’s international and domestic programs as well as Alaska seafood industry members in all aspects of seafood quality, safety, nutrition and utilization.
 
Rachel Mutter

Rachel Mutter is an editor at IntraFish Media and has been reporting on the seafood industry since 2002. She was born and raised in London but has spent periods living and working abroad, most recently returning from a four year spell in China. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English and European literature from the University of Essex.
 
Jennifer Smigelski

Every company has one thing in common: its success depends on its people. Jennifer Smigelski has spent her career developing and empowering people to make a positive impact on themselves, their organization and the world at-large. Smigelski drives engagement, learning, diversity and inclusion as Director of Talent Development for the North America arm of the world’s largest seafood company – Thai Union. The Cornell University graduate has over 20 years of cross-functional experience that includes executive coaching, training, diversity initiatives and international leadership at iconic corporations like Chicken of the Sea, Nike, Reuters and Morgan Stanley. As a mother of two energetic boys, Smigelski does a lot of developing and driving people outside of work too.
 
Ali Turner
Sales Account Manager
Trident Seafoods
Ali Turner, a Seattle native, attended Azusa Pacific University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing. She spent two college summers processing fish in Alaska, one in Bristol Bay, and the other aboard a factory trawler and onshore in Akutan, processing Wild Alaska Pollock (her favorite fish). She later went on to work in sales and leadership roles at PepsiCo. She has spent the last 2 years at Trident Seafoods helping grow their domestic sales in various channels.
 
Lisa Webb
VP of Operations
Gorton's Seafoods
Lisa is responsible for overseeing all seafood procurement, supply chain, manufacturing and engineering activities at Gorton’s. Over the course of her more than 30 years of Gorton’s experience she has earned a highly respected reputation within the global seafood industry and has developed extensive supply chain expertise. Under her leadership significant improvement in productivity and manufacturing effectiveness have been achieved. Lisa has been a champion in establishing Gorton’s as one of the first food companies to apply a lean thinking approach to all business processes, resulting in operational improvements for the company. Lisa initially joined Gorton’s in Research & Development and holds a BS degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of Rhode Island.
